Working On Things

I have definitely been laying off things here for a long time. Had some changes and upheavals in my life but things have settled down. I'm working on getting a handle on SEO and copywriting. With any luck I'll be getting more visits and (I hope) customers. I've got some product design ideas that I plan to work on in the near future. I'll have more updates as time goes on. Hope everyone had a great summer and has a great autumn.

Got some more items added and reworked some more product tags. Wish I'd known more about product tags when I got started. Oh well, live and learn. Got all the car items taken care of, now I have to take care of the rest of them. I'll get there. Just taking it one product at a time. Forgot how enjoyable it is to work on this stuff. Been wrapped up in a lot of nonsense lately and have been seriously slacking off. Time to get back to it. And I have.

It's Been Too Long

Oh brother! It's been way too long. Got lazy I suppose. I've added a lot of stuff since I last posted. Got some more to add as I go along. Been a bit crazy and things are a little weird right now. Mostly some weirdness in the personal area. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Got some new designs on the way and have some updating to do but things otherwise are okay. Later.

Got another sale the other day. Sold a poster. That's cool. It's not easy selling things that come under discretionary spending these days. Times are tough but I think it'll get better by next year. I've got some designs in the works that I plan to post in the near future so if you've been by my Zazzle gallery, stop on back sometime soon. If you haven't, stop in and take a look. Fun With Fractals

Finally got a chance to fool around with some fractal generating software. I want to add fractal imagery to my product lines but haven't had the chance to try some of the programs out there. Tried one but it was too much of a pain to use. I tried another one today. It's easier to use but the interface is a bit clunky and the tutorials aren't complete but it's fairly straight forward. They do give you a detailed (and somewhat technical) explanation of what fractals are and the math behind them. I'm going to work through a couple more of the tutorials before I try the other one I downloaded. The nice thing is that it's shareware and the registration costs are reasonable. We'll see.

Been getting some hits on the gallery but things have been slow all around from what I understand. Still have to finish rewriting my gallery intro. Got started but I'm not happy with it yet. I really should write stuff down when I think of it. Silly me.

Hey, it's been a while. I've been busy getting products posted and trying to get this thing rolling. Sold a few things but I've got to sell a lot more. Got a Clip-Art.com account so finding artwork is a lot easier. Got some great stuff from them and looking to find more. Here's an example:

I had the quote but no artwork to go with it. Found the picture on Clip-Art.com and the rest was easy. I'm having fun with it but I get a bit bummed now and then. Comes with the territory I suppose. Anyway, hope everyone out there is doing well.

Been getting more hits lately on the Zazzle gallery. I've been doing some social network marketing so that may have something to do with it. Maybe I'll sell something else soon, too. Here's hoping.

I'm still working away at my Zazzle gallery. I've gotten one sale but that's it. I get visits but not as many as I'd like. I've been posting to various marketing sites but things haven't picked up yet. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've done my research on things but sometimes I get really frustrated. I know it takes some time to get known on the web but this is getting crazy. Oh, well, back to selling t-shirts and stuff.

Designing Again

It's been a while since I did any design work. Worked in advertising design back in the late '90's but haven't done much since then. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Why did I get rid of those design books all those years ago? What a fool. Oh well, I'll buy some updated ones and hit the design websites. I've been checking out the magazines and there's some great work being done these days. Lots of talent out there. Got to get the rust out and stretch the design muscles. I've got some ideas and I've got to start working on them. I'll probably work on paper first before getting on the computer. Call me old fashioned, but I find it easier that way. That's how I learned so I stick with it. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

First Sale

Got my first sale the other day. Didn't take as long as I thought it would. Put a smile on my face. Only sold one item, so I didn't make much but I figure it's a start. I plan to add more and more products to my shop so my odds of selling something will increase. Stop on by and maybe you'll see something you'll like.

Up and Running

Finally have my Zazzle gallery up and running. Been busy (re)learning Photoshop and learning some HTML. Forgot how much I actually like doing the graphic design thing. Have more photos to upload and have some designs and artwork rolling around in my head. A New Week

It's a new week and things are going okay. Working on the adwords campaign and learning a bit more HTML. Have some small goals this week. Getting my first campaign going, getting my Zazzle account up and running and sitting down and working through the HTML how-to book I have. Keeps me busy. I'm enjoying it, though. Down the line it'll be worth it.

Well, I'm finally getting started with this whole online marketing thing. Had to learn a few things before getting my feet wet. Found a for real program and I'm working through the tutorials. I've learned a lot so far but I've got a ways to go. Gotta start somewhere, I suppose.
